Service
We perform Copper Slag / Grit / Sand Blasting and industrial airless painting, along with Hot-Dip Galvanization and Zinc Coating. Surface preparation and coating works are executed per ISO, NACE, and SSPC standards for corrosion protection.
We provide industrial surface preparation, protective coating and galvanization for structural steel, piping, equipment, tanks and fabricated components.
Blasting method and abrasive media are selected according to the substrate material, existing surface condition, required preparation grade, specified surface profile and the coating system to follow.
The method is selected against the material, the required surface profile and the project specification.
| Method | Best suited for | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Grit blasting | Heavy rust, mill scale, old coatings | Structural steel, piping, tanks, heavy fabrication |
| Steel grit blasting | Aggressive cleaning and deep surface profile | Heavy structural steel, industrial equipment |
| Shot blasting | New or fabricated steel with relatively uniform surfaces | Structural sections, plates, fabricated components |
| Sand blasting | General surface cleaning | Maintenance work and general fabrication |
| Garnet blasting | Industrial steel where lower dust and good profile control are wanted | Piping, tanks, structural steel, maintenance |
| Aluminium oxide blasting | Hard contamination and precise surface profiling | Equipment, components and specialised applications |
| Glass bead blasting | Cleaning and finishing where an aggressive profile is not required | Stainless steel, aluminium and sensitive components |
| Wet and vapour blasting | Dust-sensitive environments or contaminated surfaces | Maintenance, refurbishment and selected industrial applications |
| Sweep blasting | Light preparation of existing sound coatings | Recoating, galvanized steel, previously painted surfaces |
| Abrasive blast cleaning | General industrial preparation | Steelwork before painting or coating |
Preparation is carried out to the specified cleanliness grade and surface profile required by the subsequent coating system. Depending on project requirement it may include:
Cleanliness and profile govern coating performance. Preparation may be specified using internationally recognised grades, with the required blast profile controlled to the coating manufacturer’s technical requirements and the project specification.
Following preparation we apply industrial coatings for long-term corrosion protection and finishing of steel and fabricated components.
We provide hot-dip galvanization (HDG) for suitable steel components requiring durable corrosion protection. The process gives a protective zinc coating that helps extend the service life of steel exposed to outdoor, humid and industrial environments. Typical galvanized components include:
Where galvanized surfaces are subsequently painted, suitable surface preparation and sweep blasting can be carried out to improve coating adhesion while maintaining the integrity of the zinc coating.
Coating systems are applied in accordance with project specifications — specified primer, intermediate and finishing coats, required dry film thickness and the applicable inspection requirements.
Work is executed with reference to the applicable codes for the scope in question. The governing specification for any given contract is the one named in that contract.
Blasting, painting and galvanization are asset-protection and service-life activities rather than finishing steps. Scope is designed around the required service environment, coating system, quality requirements and project specification.
Method statements, equipment schedules and inspection plans are issued per enquiry against your specification.
